The Max Moore Memorial Scholarship was established to honor Max Lee Moore and the high value he placed on higher education. Max was a strong proponent of working hard to better oneself and saw higher education as a significant part of that process. Staying humble, selfless, hardworking and loyal to family and friends were personal attributes that Max considered most valuable in a person. Established after his passing in 2000, the $8000 scholarship is given by his family every year to one graduating senior whose parent or guardian is employed with one of the family companies.
